RE: Is It About Content or Stake - RE: SteemIt Inc. as a Stakeholder and Judge

People can do whatever they like with their stake, but that also includes using it to reduce rewards. Bumping up your own posts reduces what others can make and it's up to the community to decide what has value. We still have those free downvotes, but few seem inclined to use them. Mine were used to adjust rewards rather than out of spite. I don't care much what I make on Steem any more and am not downvoting as it's not my problem to deal with now.

Hive has its own issues as there are still bullies at work, but self voters are being dealt with and vote buying is much reduced.

Both platforms are likely to see the same debates reoccur over and over

They are technically the same, but the attitudes seem to be different. Some of the abusers did come over to Hive and are trying the same tricks. They may get less kick-back on Steem for now.

I find it amusing that I get downvoted for some gentle ribbing.

Don't rock the boat :)

Oh well I got called the C-word and downvoted for making a positive comment on Hive, so the craziness goes both ways.

Sorry you are getting downvoted that is lame.
