How To Manage The Time

in #monday7 years ago

Many people consider 24 hours is a very short time to do all the work to the fullest. But for those who often complain like that, in fact they just are not able to manage the time well.
Do you also experience similar things? If so, consider easy tips to better manage your time.

  1. Plan a weekly schedule
Create a weekly agenda that contains lesson schedules, extracurricular activities or additional lessons, homework, sleep and meals. Write everything to show the time sequence. Don't forget to leave blank lines for activities that suddenly appear later.

  2. Learn to set your priorities
You must learn how to efficiently manage your priorities. The most important task should be ranked higher in the list. Try to apply the Pareto principle in which 80% of your achievement is generated by doing 20% of your efforts. In other words, try to work smart and simple. Do not neglect your important tasks to achieve insignificant results.

  3. Recognize the time where you are more focused
It is normal that your performance is not the same all the time. There are times where you are more focused while at other times when your focus decreases for various reasons. This phase can occur on the same day. Assuming that you work 8 hours a day, this gives you about 1,800 working hours per year. Find the time period where you focus and at that time try to handle the most difficult task.

  4. Don't be afraid to say "NO"
You must learn to occasionally say "No" and refuse tasks that you can not do. If you run out of time and feel stressed, then it is better to decline the invitation to go to lunch or family dinner. You must realize that you are not in an obligation to shorten everything in an instant. You must learn to choose the task you really want to do or need to solve.

  5. Motivation
You should also motivate yourself to keep obeying the schedule and rules for discipline. For example, believing in the principle of postponing a job can bring disaster and guilt. Thus you will keep your best effort to manage time.
