Difference Between Currency and Storing Value

in #money7 years ago

People when they talk about money they think of cash in their pockets or savings in a bank. Currency at its inception was a form of receipt that showed proof of ownership of a commodity. This receipt was used to store value or labour. Does your local currency store any value?
