US stock markets regain some orderly appearance, but for how long
Closed out my short term VIX trade today ... IMO; if your trading volatility in US markets; you gotta get out of the trade quickly while you've still got a decent profit ... because IMO algorithmic computer trading has been methodically farming volatility out of the US markets for the past couple years ... humans can disseminate black swan events very quickly, but it doesn't take long for the algorithmic computers to catch up and eat your lunch ...

I agree, the bots are a hard to beat.
Intersting take on that. I believe that the drop the other day was caused by stop hunting (an algorithm). But I can see where on more normalized days where algos can keep vix low. I guess one has to wonder then, do computers trade more frequently on low volume days or do they cause more low volume days thus the chop we had into this volatility.
There was a rip out of the channel down on the daily, then 20 or so days of rest then the sell off.
