The Federal Reserve Facebook Page. Is it arrogance, ignorance, or something else?

in #money8 years ago (edited)

As you probably know, trolling the new Federal Reserve Facebook page is a new pastime for anarchists, libertarians, and pretty much everyone who sees what the Fed has done (and is doing) to the economy. Their page is loaded with nothing but negative comments. Thousands of them.

So it got me wondering. Obviously they have unlimited funds to hire social media managers. They have to know, by now, that the idea was, at least on the surface, a disaster.

Is the reason they decided now was the time to do this arrogance, ignorance, or something else entirely?

I decided to ask the question in this video. And hand out some friendly social media management advice to try and help them out. I hope you don't hate me for reaching out with this olive branch (insert sarcastic grin here), but I figured it might be a gesture of good will.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Yes, it is something else: propaganda.

"Just my 7 cents (2 cents after taxes and inflation)."

Agreed. Propaganda and arrogance to think the propaganda will work with all the negative comments.
