CIvil Asset Forfeiture (legalized highway robbery) and You!

Here's some news about this wonderfully corrupt practice, that neither side of the political spectrum seem to identify as what it really is... legalized highway robbery. They take your property without due process, without even accusing you of a crime (merely suspecting) and then they keep it as a bonus for themselves.

How can anyone think politicians are on our side, when something like this happens? What about the 5th Amendment? Don't police officers swear an oath to uphold the Constitution? When the rulers are worse than the criminals from which they supposedly protect us, you know that civilization is at its end.

I just get visions of Robin Hood, and the Sheriff's men. Are we stupid? Or just too afraid?
