Making money online the honest truth, it is hard.
No one actually tell you how it really is. When you Google "how to make money online" you get all these Blogs telling you all these things you can do. Some advice are free while others want you to pay. They make is sound so good and you can do it too right? But can you even make a few dollars, much more can you make a living?
Lets talk about surveys. Oh surveys, all you have to do is sign up to a site. They give you a few free dollars, but you cannot claim them yet. You need to do a few more surveys and get more money so you can reach the minimum payout amount. Sounds easy enough, so you run off to the survey section of the site and you see all these options. You do a few then after a while you get a message "No more surveys at the moment please check back later." But you never get anymore surveys and you never get to cash out. Instead they want you to invite other people to their site. Total Bullshit I say.
And then they are legit site like swagbucks. Where you will see yourself getting a few earnings. They payout threshold is low and there is a lot of things to do. But you have to do so much things to earn those points, you are more wasting electricity than actually profiting. You reach to a point when you ask yourself is this really worth it? of course you won't make a living off it,unless you invite a ton load of people. Not worth it in my book.
Ok so you decide to be a blogger and talk about your interest. You think "I will get a adsense account and earn money from adds". Then you realize that Google don't just accept everyone. You also need a ton load of traffic to your website. They have a lot of rule you have to follow. So you cannot run a porn site or anything inappropriate. You have to be talking about so stuff that will attract people, which is really hard if you don't know what you are doing. Well there you are with your free website or in my case I paid for my hosting and got a free domain. You don't have much traffic and no adsense account, so hence no money.
And then you start thinking to yourself screw Google. They must be plenty of other sites out there begging to advertise for them. Then you go Google alternative to Google adsense and you find another blog, "The ten best alternatives". At the top of the list is "Media Net" and "Adversal" and you are like yes finally. The sign up was easy enough and getting the php file on you site took a bit of tinkering but you did it. When you reach the part where you need to place the add you realize that it is the same spammy adds, that you had installed add block to block yourself. You know those adds that ignore your pop up settings and start playing a video selling something that you most definitely don't want. An of course there is the sports gambling one. You all know it, it have a green page with black text and a player kicking a ball as its main picture. You know that this is going to turn people off your site. Even if they still use it, they are going to add block, ublock, chomeblock, every kind of block they can. When you look at your summary at the end off the month. You see a report like 95% for the adds where block and some other stuff. So you earn nothing.
But you don't give up, you try some other sites, these ones seems better. They give you some clean square adds to place around your page. So off you go a place a few all over your site. They break your site code a bit but with some tinkering you get it looking presentable. Now all you have to do is sit and wait for people to click them so you can get paid. But no one is going to click those shit. They are some boring unicef adds, or some green card stuff or maybe the scholarship ones. I mean I never clicked those so why would I expect anyone else to?
Then they have infolinks and viglink where you can create clickable links in you blog. I suspect you have to have some really good shit posted, And you might have to blog around certain key words. Because ultimately this is a form of affiliate marketing. People have to click the link and buy stuff for you to get paid.
Lets move on to the real deal Affiliate marketing. Amazon is the popular one right now, if someone click your link and buy anything in the next 24hr you get paid. That sounds good right? So off I go to sign up for Amazon but I got stuck and the phone verification part. Amazon keep saying that my number is block, something about my service provider and foolishness. So I never even get to sign up.Straight pain in the ass.
Then there is youtube yay. You get paid just to upload videos. You get paid 1 dollar per 1000 views. I have seen plenty good educational channels with barely a few thousand views. These people have good mics their video is edited nicely with nice thumbnails and other stuff. But they are just not getting the views. Youtube is so competing that your channel can be good now but it might not last for long. Or you have to do all kids of gimmicks like click baits and stuff to get peoples attention. Even if you do get their attention Youtube is not just going to pay you for the amount of views, but also how long people watch the video far. So if they click your video and see that is is crap and click away quickly. Sorry that won't count, That just won't do.
So yeah basically I have spend a few hundred dollars buying softwares and setting up my website to try and make money online but I have not even made all those money back. So it is not as easy as some people make it seems. I am glad I was not stupid enough to pay for any advice. I mean if it really worked and they were really making crazy money why are they selling it?
They would not even tell their mothers about it, because the more people doing something the more competitive it is, It loses value and maybe there will be less money for those doing it.
Well this has been my honest experience with making money online for the years I have been trying. Please leave me a comment below and tell me some of yours. I am sure I am not the only one finding this hard.

Ok
I feel your pain, I have been in plenty of opportunities. The key is to find one that works for you and your personality. Basically find your passion and your gift, once you find that gift your present will be wonderful. I did!!
Thank you for the encouragement.
I hear you! Tried a few. The only good survey one for me was Pinecone Research but you have to find a banner link to sign up! Was good though - £3 per survey and no messing.
I may try FBA (fulfillment by amazon) again. Didn't do well on my first attempt!
Certain used goods/thrift seem to sell well on Ebay (Loads of videos on Youtube)
There's alway fiverr too - worthwhile if you scale it right.
Hope that helps. good luck!
