Accidental Death & Dismemberment is the most common form of accidental insurance. The first part of the insurance pays a full amount for death. The second part pays a specific amount if a dismemberment is a result of an accident.
The average accidental death and dismemberment rates vary by company, but many policies can be purchased for as low as 30 cents per month to as high as $9 per month. The average cost of a policy is approximately $5 per month or $60 per year.
