Armenia was thinking about creating a free economic zone for start-ups
The Armenian authorities have considered creating a free economic zone for the development of start-ups aimed at using innovative technologies from around the world. The application and idea for the creation of the project belongs to the Armenian Blockchain Forum (ABF).
ABF took the initiative to create a free economic zone in Armenia. The company offered this idea to the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on December 20, 2017 with the aim of developing high-tech projects and start-ups.
The Armenian government is considering the possibility of creating an advanced technology center. One of the tasks of this project is the organization and regulation of the infrastructure for the development of start-ups in Armenia. Much attention will be paid to innovative technologies.
The first task of the project is the opening of an international accelerator, which will represent the launch and development of innovative start-ups from around the world. Also, a project has been approved for the organization of data centers, which will be associated with projects based on distributed databases.
With the help of leading higher educational institutions of Armenia it is planned to develop educational and research projects based on artificial intelligence, distributed registry and machine learning. It is stated that the participants of the initiative should develop a system unique in its scope and level of processing that will give qualitative development to the most promising and necessary projects of the planet.
