Fossil fuel subsidies are a staggering $5 tn per year

During the 2016 election fossil fuels were often discussed as a cost effective means of producing energy for the US. However, the fact that they are heavily subsidized was never brought up or taken into account when comparing it to other means of producing energy. A recent study finds that 6.5% of the global GDP goes into subsiding dirty fossil fuels (over 5 trillion Dollars in 2015).
Very good point sir. I say you should find a way to employ a cleaner and more efficient way to power parts of America that rely on coal. You'd be doing a great service to your community and you'd free up some extra money for the US government which in turn could use that money to pay down the national debt.
