Side Hustling Ep. 7: Guy Earns $3,000 Per Month Blogging About His Vacation Cruise

in #money7 years ago

Hey guys, I think you're going to like today's story. Today's story is about a guy who returns from a Honeymoon cruise, and starts a blog about cruising and answering commonly asked questions that new cruisers have.

Tanner and his wife received a cruise as a wedding gift. Neither had ever been on a cruise, they didn't really know what to expect, and honestly neither of them were even really looking forward to the trip.

They wound up taking the cruise and both had a wonderful time. Tanner however noticed that many of the questions he had prior to embarking on his cruise, were not things answered on most cruise websites or forums.

Tanner decided to fill the gap and start a blog answering commonly asked, but not commonly answered questions about cruises like "can I watch Netflix on a cruise?"

Tanners blog wound up being a hit, he monetized it with affiliate advertising and Google Adsense. Within a few weeks he was making a couple hundred bucks a month.

Tanner continued creating content and optimizing his site for Google and within a matter of months was making over $3,000 per month.

What I really like about this hustle is it's something very relatable, something most of us have probably tried or are currently doing, affiliate marketing.

This hustle requires little to no money to start, and is literally something anyone can do. Even if your not a good writer or don't enjoy writing you could do something similar to Tanner but use a podcast or a video as your format as opposed to writing.

This hustle is very flexible and can easily be tweaked to fit your strengths and/or interest.

If you guys have any questions about Tanners hustle, affiliate marketing in general, or anything else for that matter drop a comment in the comments section below.

He saw a demand in the market and filled it, awesome for him that it was a success!

Cool I had started with amazon associates but after 3 sales they rejected and made me start over! Anyway to combat this? Is all hope lost if you're rejected from amazon?

What do you mean by rejected? Did they supsend your account or just take away the sales from you? Did you violate some policy or were you clicking your own links?

IMHO Youtube is the best traffic driver and click driver in terms of Amazon Affiliate stuff. Doing product reviews. Somethign you may want to consider is start getting free products from Amazon through review sites like Jumpsend, AMZReviewTrader and Snagshout and then review those products on Amazon and drop a link.

If you're not familiar with the concept of review giveaways and stuff her'es a really old video I made kind of explaining how the process works.

That is the perfect side hustle :)

Thanks buddy yeah I thought that was a fun one. Once I catch Steemit up with the series I'm gonna start posting them here a day early. I'm looking to find some crypto entrepreneurs to interview and share their stories as well. Thanks again
