All jokes aside if you are interested in living the life of a ski bum you must realize that you aren’t going to make bank, in fact a majority will struggle just to pay bills and put food on the table. The (incredibly accurate) joke I frequently hear in the industry goes “What’s the difference between a ski instructor & a large pizza? One can feed a family of four & the other is a ski instructor”. As a matter of fact the low pay and high expenses is what leads most ski instructors to pack up and leave the industry. If you can stomach the idea of a trading in fortune & fame for a life full of excitement & adventure than this path may be right for you.
