Do you think that central banks will truly be able to reduce their balance sheets and begin the taper? Or is that just a fairy tale we are told to make the markets calm?
But historically Fed has raised rate at the wrong time as if they are blind mice. So a long put on the index is looking better and better as investment.
It should have been done a long time ago but here we are! This market is going parabolic.
If they fractal a few quadrillion more dollars they can keep the charade going for another few years but even then they wouldn’t be able to normalize rates. This is the year the excrement hits the fan

Also glad I moved out of the USA back in 2004.

Ya, I was ready to get out in 2010 but stayed to help with a sick family member. Hopefully I will still have the opportunity to leave in another few years
