As of the end of 2017, The Bank of Canada holds 1.9 million unclaimed accounts, and financial instruments. The value of these unclaimed balances are worth over 742 million dollars.

In addition to searching your own name, you should (if applicable) check your maiden name, names of deceased relatives, dependent adults, current and former business names, names of deceased business partners and common misspellings of your name.
