تُعد بيرات وجهة مثالية لعشاق الآثار والهدوء، وتضم العديد من المتاحف الممتعة والمساجد والكنائس الأثرية، أشهر معالمها السياحية هي "قلعة بيرات" المبنية على هضبة عالية بجوار نهر Osum، تعود القلعة إلى القرن الثالث عشر وتملك إطلالة خلابة على المدينة
