My Review of Reviewhunt & Mosaeek - Just Some Initial Reflections

in #mosaeek5 years ago (edited)

So last week I started my first campaign on the Reviewhunt platform and I chose to review the collaborative video app Mosaeek. Overall you were tasked with submitting a video on the Mosaeek App and getting some replies. Next you had to reply to someone else's video using the Mosaeek app. They reviewhunt asks you to share yourexperience with the product on your social media channels. I chose #steem and #twitter.

Campaign 1: Make A Video and Submit it to the Mosaeek Community for Replies
So I made a quick (5:00) video to ask three questions:

  1. Are you familiar with Steem/ with blockchain technology?
  2. How can Mosaeek help improve conversations among STEEM/content users?
  3. What content will get the most interaction on Mosaeek? Other ideas for good content and conversations?

I was really impressed with the interaction from that post.

So I had to make a video shoutout/review/thank you for responding reply. I took a live look at some of the replies using the app and recorded a quick video highlighting how to use the app and responding to some of the awesome people that reacted to my initial video. Neat stuff. A couple things that are really cool about the app -

  1. Getting to choose where your reply goes into the video. You can see when you open the Mosaeek link that no one really cared to answer my first question. One of the developers shared a story abouot how the app was named. Most of the other respondents replied under questions 2 and 3.
  2. Replying in app to another reply. You can reply in app to other people's responses. It might be the person who submitted the video or you can reply directly to replies at the second level of the video.

Original Video On D-Tube - Be careful, this video is pretty popular....It made @drakos list of "Top Downvoted Posts in the Last Seven Days"

Wrap-Up
Overall a pretty cool app with a good community and a lot of potential. I really enjoyed using the app and getting to know some new folks in a different light. Overall the app is still in beta and needs some enhancements but everyone is working pretty hard behind the scenes to get stuff done. Current priorities for the app:

"As for now the most important thing is profile pages, feed and personal notifications" - Carlo

New (to me) Steemians

Some great steemians using the platform. @prettynicevideo has Questions of the Day that you can reply using STEEM or Mosaeek. @hauptmann Uses D-Tube and is responsive on Mosaeek.
@snook also does questions of the day and other content using both networks.

Also shout out to @shawnsporter, a NOT new to me steemian for checking out my vids and making one of his own!

Using Reviewhunt
Overall it was pretty easy. You take screenshots of your work and post the mosaeek links into your submission for each step. I submitted my first video and submitted a video link of my reply for review. I also tried to "Submit Buzz Content" using my steem account but I went to post this last night and it said that the time-frame for using steem had timed out. It said I had 72 hours to complete the task and I swore that I took the task on Wednesday.....but whatever - In Reviewhunt my recommendation is to have the work for the task done before you accept the quest so you now you'll meet your deadline. Try products, earn rewards - https://review.hunt.town/

I am going to try to submit this link as Buzzed content on my twitter account though....Wish Me Luck!
