Pink Explosion For The Great Mamas In Steemit On Mother's Day

I've been open about losing my mother to aneurysm when I was 19 so I don't really celebrate Mother's Day or should I say, I haven't celebrated Mother's Day since then.

I have no one to give a bouquet of Carnation to ... for that day. I'm aware that it's on the 13th and that's like two days later where I am ... but it's a few hours to go in Asia, so here's to greeting you ..

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the great Steemian Mama's out there!

You ... reading this, NOT A Mom but you got one, still alive and is doing her best for your best sake? Why don't you hand her a bouquet of anything?

If there's one thing I don't remember doing to my mother, it's handing her a fresh flower or two, so not a bouquet either. I wasn't the sweetest daughter you could ever imagine though she was my best friend. I should have pulled some "Santans" off the road to give my mother when she was alive.

Like these ones, Santan flowers are pretty scentless but really cute and lovely. My mother would have appreciated them scentless or not cause as you probably all know, for Mamas .. it's all the thought that counts. My mother was such a loving mother I should have at least given her a Santan or two ...

Yes, yes, I should have done that and should have given her more hugs and said many "I love yous" ... but again, I wasn't the sweetest daughter in the world. The sweetest gesture I've shown my loving mother when she was alive was a kiss goodnight.

I should have done more than just that ... however ...

I never thought my Mom would not make it to 50 and my ego was too huge when I was young I only wanted to give her the best and most fragrant flowers my first salary could buy and forgot to do exactly that when I did get the first one.

So .. you as you may now have read between the lines, I do regret that part, no matter how fragrant the most expensive flower I could buy and put on her remains now , she won't be able to see how lovely they are nor be able to sniff their scent so ...

a.jpg

from one "not the sweetest daughter on earth" to any other daughter or son, reading this out there ...

hand your Moms whatever fresh flower/s you could afford now while they are still alive, for what good is a flower's fragrance and beauty if they can no longer sniff it ...

Better yet, grab a tree or a shrub that would bear flowers in May... like this one to remind her how grateful you are for having such a great Mom. This one bears only flowers late April to early May, perfect for Mother's Day. If your Mom's aint a fan of pink ones, they come in white, too.

BTW, don't forget to tell them ...

... as often as you can.

I didn't mean to make this sound gloomy, an event like a Mother's Day should be celebrated like a feast isn't it?

Since I've made friends with really great Moms here, I send you all, this pink explosions, go ahead, print them as cards to give your Mommies if you want.

Most of all, I raise my glass to celebrate your being such a great Mom, perhaps unrecognized or less appreciated but I, for one, have read your good intent to your kids.

Cheers to that!

I wish you all a great Sunday, filled with love, appreciation and much acknowledgement of how great you are as a Mom.

sorry for the late reply
I guess I've been gone for a week?
I can't remember but I have been busy again
life outside Steemit's catching up with me
but it's always good to be back
I hope you're doing great!
xox!

Dear Ivy,

I felt so sorry for you, I've got tears in my eyes.
That's not bad for me, because it connects me to feeling for you.

My mother also died much too young and very suddenly.
I had a close connection with her.
I also often think of questions I should have asked her when it was still possible. And I can also think of loving sentences that I should have told her when it was still possible.

I'll give you a hug.

Werner

thank you ..

sorry for the late reply
been gone busy ...

so I guess, you also miss her on days like those

I think a lot of us are the sort of daughters you describe yourself as when we are young. I think it is just part of being young, and our mothers know that. I was this way too, but I'm grateful my mother is still around for me to make up for it.

every mom in this world is a hero, happy mother day @englishtchrivy

You touched my heart, my soul, my ever-being - thank you so much Ivy!! My mother is still alive but "unreachable" for me... you gave me the strength to find the "right nerve" inside of me to at least send her a "Mom, I love you" thought from the most honest heart...

thank you

I hope you were able to
sorry for the late reply
been busy lately

You post full of emotions and regret, it might be quite a hard day for you on 13th May. But what I can tell, all the mothers can feel the love of their children, it is not words but the the attention, respect reflects the love that all the mothers feel. I am pretty sure your mother knew that you love her and she must have been proud of you. When read your posts, I can see how much passion and love you have for those plants, flowers, insects and I can read between line your love to your husband, it is not possible that you mother did not experience any of it. Do not be too strict to you and do not blame yourself. I hope you will light up a candle for your mother and just think about her, tell the funny stories you have had, so for one moment she will be alive with you.

I wish you a nice weekend @englishtchrivy

thank you

not really beating myself up
just sharing something to the world so they won't have the same regrets I do

Moms are the only people who really love us, just for what we are. The days of life are very fleeting and we must give them our care and tenderness before it is too late, while they still live in this world. You said the right words. Huge expensive bouquets are not important for them. For them, even one simple and modest flower is dear. I live with heartache for many years because I did not have time to say a lot of important and warm words to my mother. Thank you for a very touching post and beautiful photos

so you can relate ♥ ♥ ♥!

Felt so sorry for lost the precious and cherish mama @englishtchrivy , It's a very saddened to lost mom. And yes you are right I do tell my friends let everyone take care of his or her parents that is the best you can give or offer to them since they are still alive, not until he/she died before we started slaughter ram, cattle and wanted to even kill gold for everyone to know those children did their mother burial fantastic as cultural believe demanded. For those of us who our mom still alive or dad let try as much as possible to do everything to show our gratitude for their priceless effort towards us Dear Ivy, you did something special for her even that good night kisses meant a lot to her when she was alive I want to believe that, my mom always said nothing you give your mum which could satisfied her like she felt your warm hugs, that reminds them alot about the time past and see us now make them happy till extent when you live your presence still feel in her bone and Whole body and everything she eat or drink or see your gift to her ... Then her heart blesses you.

Warm regards

no words and deeds other than i love you mom, your nice post thanks for sharing i like @englishtchrivy

We often tend to forget how much our mother does for us without ever asking for anything in return. It's probably the only kind of love that is unconditional in this world.

I've been open about losing my mother to aneurysm when I was 19

I'm sorry to hear that
Thanks for reminding me about this :)

so I take it your Momma is so much like mine, a loving, caring, "I'd sacrifice it all for my kids" kind of a mom? Not every mother is like that some mothers can't extend love so it reads that yours is so much of a great Mom - cheers to that!

Exactly like that.
I'm lucky :)
