How to finally get great results in everything we do? All the answers in one book! 📕

Hey guys,

If you think about improving yourself, your life and your relationships, here is the book you will definitely want to read.

I have just finished reading it and I can say that these 300 pages surprisingly made me understand a lot of things about me and other people, about wrong and right in children education, about our achievements and failures, about difficulties we all have in our everyday life.

This book is not about “how to become a better person in 10 days”, the author Dr. Carol Dweck is not a fancy motivational coach, she is a Professor of Psychology and this book is a result of a huge research she made with a group of other scientists in the fields of personality, social psychology and development psychology, making a lot of experiments and analysing the behaviour of different bunches of people in different situations, explaining why in the same conditions and with the same amount of luck some people fail and other succeed.

Even if you are not a science person (like me because I am not), I definitely recommend you this reading because the book is written in a simple language, the author talks to her readers in a very friendly manner and explains with simple words and real life examples (where you will very probably find yourself) why:

❓❓❓❓

  • We give up in achieving our dreams
  • We don’t succeed in our career/in our studies even if we are talented and smart
  • We can’t lose weight/stop smoking/control our anger
  • We can’t progress in sports and other activities requiring efforts, patience, perseverence
  • We fail examinations, tests and… life challenges
  • We are afraid to be ourselves
  • We are afraid to take risks
  • We prefer to stay in a quiet comfort zone even if it doesn’t make us feel happy
  • We are jealous of other people daring things we don’t have courage to do… but we still do nothing, etc.

The great thing is that even if you face the unpleasant side of you (we don’t always like the truth about us…), the book gives you the explanation what is wrong in your approach, not in yourself and what has to be changed in your mind to succeed in all the things above.

This picture shows 2 types of mindsets the research is about:

The thing is that we are not born with “grey” or “blue” affirmations in our mind, we acquire them according to our life experience, since our childhood, from our parents, then in school, in college, at work, in our relationships.

We can anytime switch from one mindset to another, since we understand that being too “grey” makes us feel stressed and unhappy.

The bad news: there is no miracle, changing your mindset is hard and it takes time, discipline and self-control.

The good news: your life depends 100% on you and only you can make changes to improve it.

No more spoilers, if all of these speak to you, the book is really worth being read.

Even if you are not into psychology books, let this one to be the first one 😊

And no, I am not payed by Amazon for writing this post 🤗

Wish you guys an excellent day! ❤️
