Have remorse, not regret
In life, one is often confronted with difficult choices.
Should I accept this offer of training abroad? Should I try and get into this tournament where I have almost no chance? Or simply, should I take my courage in both hands, and invite him/her to go out with me?
I am talking about these great choices in a life that everyone was confronted with one day or another.
Sometimes, when in doubt, you decide not to do anything. Because after all, if you do nothing, nothing wrong can happen, is it? It is the status quo.
Now think about it.
Think of all those moments when, despite your fear, you decided to take the big step. Has anything good ever happened because of those moments of bravery?
I can only speak for myself. In my case, it is those moments that have forged me, that made me who I am.
Leaping into the unknown is frightening, and sometimes we even think that it would have been better to not do anything. But with the information we had at the time of the choice, we couldn't have know what would have come out. We knew just one thing: if we had not done it, we would have thought for the rest of our days: "And if I'd have?"
We all know it: what remains in our memories are those moments of madness where we said "Fuck it, I do not care, I'll do it!"
So go ahead! Do you have anything in mind? Want to go on a trip? Learning a musical instrument? Want to change your life to 180 degrees?
Then consider the possibility of doing so. What is it going to cost you? You will have to work harder? Well, do it! Do not wait.
For whatever happens, remorse is preferable to regret.
