Quote of The Day:George Washington Carver

in #motivation6 years ago (edited)

First thing to remember, George Washington Carver was born around the year of 1864. Carver was born and raised in Diamond, Missouri. In addition, Carver struggled many times in his life while trying to fit in, but he went on to become an amazing inventor.

To point out, Carver pursued a career as a teacher at Tuskegee Institute, and also a career as a scientist and botantist. To emphasize, a botantist is a biologist, who is well trained in the study of plant science.

Notably, Carver created over a hundred different products using peanuts. Moreover, he used peanuts not only to create dyes, but also to create peanut oil. The peanut oil was used for the purpose of powering cars.

Furthermore, Carver discovered new ways to use crops like sweet potatoes and pecans. He learned how to use sweet potatoes as a postage stamp glue. Explicitly, Carver completed his highschool education at Minneapolis High, which was located in Minneapolis, Kansas.

Later, in the year of 1890 Carver attended the Iowa State Agricultural College. By all means, Carver was awarded a bachelor's degree in science, and pursued his education further, to earn a master's degree in science.

With this in mind, Carver was hired by Booger T. Washington, who was the principal of Tuskegee Institute in 1896. In fact, Carver was in charge of Tuskegee Institute's agricultural department.

In conclusion, George Washington Carver inspires me. Especially, with his many inventions using crops like sweet potatoes and peanuts. Reading his story brought me motivation, and I hope you feel motivated too. Therefore, It is a pleasure for me to introduce this quote, and thank you for joining us for the Quote of The Day!

I love that quote because it describes failure as a life lesson, and not as a mistake.
