Are you challenging yourself?

Many of us think we are doing just fine in life. We have a decent job, family who love us and a place to lay our heads.

But, the question remains...

Are you challenging yourself?

To be a better you?
To stand out from the crowd?
To get a better job and move up financially in your life?
To become a better Steemit author (and get better pay, maybe even career-changing pay)?

I'm asking these questions to bring to light that sometimes we get complacent. We get so complacent to the point that we are happy with our regular routine, even if it may not be the best for us. A lot of us are scared of change, some more than others.

What's your opportunity cost?

But, as an accounting student, I've learned about "opportunity costs" and I use it very frequently in everyday life. Opportunity costs are simply what you can be doing instead of your current activity. If you are slaving away at a 9-5 that barely pays the bills, your opportunity cost is the better job or career that could be potentially waiting for you if you had the balls to quit. Lol. Sorry had to get a lil zesty to get the point across. You get it though.

Unmotivated

I get it. Some of us are just not self-motivated. Well, I ask you, if you don't motivate yourself, who's gonna do it? Self affirmations help. Just telling yourself you can do it is sometimes enough to push you to try. Also, you have to surround yourself with successful people who are like-minded. Birds of a feather flock together. If you're hanging out with a bunch of bums, they're gonna wanna do bum shxt. Lol. If you hang out with bosses, you get it. Boss Up. Now, I'm not telling you to dump your best friend. Just, you know, always look at your options.

Look within

Let's start examining better ways we can improve our lives. Look for that new job. Write more articles on a daily basis. Hug your loved ones more. Exercise. We should all be looking for self-improvement at all times. And it all starts, you guessed it, within yourself. Don't be stuck in your old ways. Get out your damn comfort zone and try something new! Like they say, those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

So go out there and live your best life crypto fam, you deserve it!!
