Thoughts from an entrepreneur

Your first business may not necessarily be the business you would be known by.

Never dispise the days of humble beginnings. Everything is a preparation for the future. The failures of yesterday have the ingredients of today's success firmly embedded in it. Learn from it all

One of the biggest motivational cliches of our time is "Never let your background put you back on the ground". Most times it is easy for us to describe this message as being more useful to people from a less privileged background.

In my own case, i was from a relatively privileged background and i could have foolishly engaged an entitlement mentality at the expense of unearthing my potentials.

However, i chose to recognise the opportunities around me and reached deep within for the talent, abilities, gifts and skills as a tool to my real value from the opportunity.

Irrespective of your background and family status, the onus to rise and become a person of value is your responsibility. You can be more than you ever imagined. You must always be prepared to recognise opportunities and convert them to value

The obvious truth then is that Nigeria and indeed the continent Africa are in dire need of creative innovation that will deliver impactful solutions that are also scalable to meet the opportunity in spaces like agriculture, nutrition, healthcare, technology, construction, trade, power, transportation and many more. The solutions are within us.

It is time to nurture your nature by acquiring the right skills ( formally or informally) and then build global enterprise that will shape the narrative of African continent.
