Planning: rudiment for success!

This is a topic that I have talked about in the pass but for its relevance I needed to reiterate. The importance of planning in anything we do cant ever be over emphasized.

The fact is that at the time steem is down, upvote hardly come and everything so boring there is only one thing that can keep a writer writing and that is if there is a concrete plan in place. Lessons from the art of war teaches that every aspect of life be seen as a war and the general that is lousy in his preparation gets his soldiers killed by the enemy.

Have you realized what goes on in sports? Every team that goes into the field of play has a game plan and sometimes from this, you can predict with great accuracy as to who would lose or win the match.

That is just how planning is vital to our growth in every stage of our lives. Unfortunately, most often than not we just fly into situations blind and waking up everyday hoping that things work out as we wish. This is the very reason why there are more failures than the successful. If you look at the statistics of business that fail as against those that succeeds, it will give you an idea of how lots of people just jump without looking.

I do know that sometimes we may not have to know it all before jumping in but at least we got to make great plans with the little that we know. Others also believe that they can afford a few failures in order to succeed but the truth is, if you start anything with the mind to fail you will fail and you wont learn anything and when you repeat that a 100 times you will fail each time.
When you take a try at anything your ultimate goal has to be about winning. This is the only way you can learn lessons when you lose. And you can't enter a game without a plan and say you expect to win, that is lame.

How many of us here plan our activities and aspirations on this platform? As a newbie you get approved and you start with your introduction because that is the norm. Then you sleep for a while and you are back with article after article without a plan. How many times should I post in a day? Which topics should I talk about? How many comments need I make in a day, what is the minimum number of articles I have to read in a day? How many hours can I commit to this and how do I make the best of it?
These are some of the questions that we need to find answers to in order to have a game plan to succeed here which is also applicable anywhere in life.

I'm sharing this because I want to encourage fellow Steemians who are serious about this to realize that this needs their time and attention as much as anything else. I have been in school for like ages and paying huge school fees but I have not made a penny yet from that system and this one has already given me more than I could imagine, why then should I take this any less serious or like any other social media platform?

Please make time to plan and you will be shocked how much you can achieve. Ignore planning and you will spend hours thinking of why the gods do not like you. You will try to find reasons why you are not always lucky but you need to realize that true luck lies in preparation and planning.
