Hello beautiful friends, trust you enjoying/enjoyed your day? Wil be talking about the wonderful act called kindness. I was on a trip, travelling from a very long distance, Enugu to Lagos, Nigeria. (for those who know and understand the road). The journey which lasted for up to 10hrs was very stressful. I was so hungry as the money with me wasn’t enough to get me home. Almost getting to my home and very happy for the successful journey, I decided to buy a very chilled soft drink (coke), at least that would chase out every hunger romancing my tommy…lol! After buying the soft drink, without paying the little girl selling, the driver drove off, not knowing I never paid, but he stopped eventually after enough scream and yelling by the women on the bus, you know women always stand for the right thing (nodding my head in total acceptance). Then there came this guys in the bus, who volunteered to run back and return the drink to the girl I bought from. But before he came down, the little girl was already running toward us. So we came down from the bus and met her, so I just paid for the drink and this guy who volunteered to return the drink was begging me to buy a drink for him to drink, the thought in my mind was

this guy is not serious, am trying to manage y money and his telling me to buy him drink

as I looked at him with a sarcastic eye, running back to the bus. As the bus moved, I relaxed behind, sipping my coke and a little bread I bought. This same guy kept on looking behind as I was bent on finishing the things I bought. This guy was really hungry as I could feel his eyes poking me and sipping my drink. As reluctant as I was and hungry, I gave this guy half of the bread I had, he suddenly became the happiest guy on the bus, thinking that he might rain abuses on me for giving him so little bread instead he greeted me like I was a king. To be sincere, I was amazed and felt important, I felt happy because this guy was happy. I went on to give him the remaining coke I had left. The guy was so happy as he hailed me like I gave him the whole world. The women in the bus saw how hungry this guy was and how he grabbed the food from me. They whispered and said

this guy wanted to use his idea to go drink that drink, pretending he had returned it

on hearing this, I laughed and thought to myself

this might be true Ooo’

well, I did my own part of sharing with him the little I had even if it wasn’t my initial plan.
The reason I write this is that most people hold back what they have even when they see a person who needs their help, dying in front of them. They find it difficult to share when they have surplus, imagine what happens when they now have little (they won’t even look at your face). The fact is when we share the tinniest thing we have, we spread love to those in need. As the saying goes

there is love in sharing and givers never lack.

You never can tell how helpless that person is, hungry and needs help. Some hide this feelings and pain, they tend to cover themselves with smile and you won’t even know. Extending your love, by sharing goes a long way. There are couple of people that I’ve experienced their act of giving, both monetary aspect and 100% attention to your problem. I would first and foremost mention @gloglo, who helped me during my school issue, a woman with a heart of gold, @nairadaddy, a guy who not only practices his doctor's degree with mouth, but also show it in his daily living, a guy who would give you even if it kills him, a true leader, @krazykrista, a lady with lots of energy, a caring mom who does lots of job and still takes care of her kids, a lady who gave me my first whaleshare, when I felt abandoned, a multi-tasking lady…hahaha! @akintunde who gave me all his time in explaining and lecturing me on cryptocurrency and even buying one. A very cool dude, a renowned programmer. @sistem @kingst both cool dudes who assisted me with steem when I was stemless, @theheralds who took his time to explain how steemit works and brought me to the community…and to others I can’t mention now. Let's learn to share even when its not convenient for us, lets make that difference by giving to those around us. We go as far as encouraging those in need that things will be fine, only with words but we don't back the words up with actions even when we know we can do something about it. Our giving or sharing should not have any condition surrounding it. I know of a guy who would borrow just to help that person in need, if he doesnt have. Sharing should be like our culture, something you practice every time, it should be embedded in your DNA...Most people wonder what they could share, not knowing they have a lot they could share. You could share your food, money, kitchen, home, resources, etc. No matter how the thing is, it will definitely go a long way in someones life. Just like how a quarter coke and bread I gave a guy made him happy, so is your little effort in sharing go a long way. I love you all

Keep sharing, no matter how little, it will definitely save a life. Dare to make that difference! You are Awesome!

Beautiful piece, but I believe the habit is giving is more of a gift and most dont have it. The beauty is that giving as an act can also be learnt.

Exactly! Thats the point...not everyone was born with same gift...you can also become great when you learn something, in dis aspect, giving. The world would be a better place when we learn the act of giving and sharing...thanks for stopping by

Thanks @sparklez for this act of kindness you showed towards that guy.....We don't need to have millions before stretching your hands to help the needy.

True talk, we don't need millions in our account before we could help someone...thanks for this wonderful insight!
