Monday Motivation: Break Rotuine

in #motivation6 years ago

You don't have to do it often, but sometimes it can be good to break routine. The chances are you probably do the same thing day-in and day-out. There's nothing wrong with that, but when you start to feel mentally exhausted or physically tired, then it may be time to breakup your routine. Go ahead and:

Go On A Random Beach Trip

There's something about being near the ocean that can clear your mind, give you perspective and just put you at ease. Whether it's winter, spring, autumn or summer, breakup your routine and go on a random beach trip. Even if you can only stay there for an hour or two, just do it. You might be surprised at how much better you feel when you get there.

The alternative is to get to the lake, river or whatever body of water you are near or can get to.

Take The Train Somewhere

Take the train somewhere, to anywhere. You don't have to stay in the destination it goes to. Just take a 2-3 hour train ride, and then get right back on to head back home. You might be surprised at how this will make you feel. heck, try to get on a train that has a cafe cart so you can grab some coffee and a bite to eat. Stare out the window, read a book etc. . .

Walk

Yup, good ole' walking is a good form of exercising and a good way to clear your head. Breakup your routine by setting a timer and getting out for at least an hour-long walk. Just walk; It doesn't matter where you go, as long as you're doing it. You'll feel better by doing this.

If you already do regular walks, breakup your routine and do a totally different route.

Go To A Huge Park

Where's the nearest large park in your area? Is there one you can get to by train or cycling? The point is to get to a huge park to get some walking and sightseeing in.

There's hundreds of ways to breakup your routine. Give the above a try the next time you feel in a slump or drained.
