Gender Equality

Gender equality, also known as sexual equality, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and needs equally, regardless of gender.

The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognize how we are.
(Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie)

Both men and women should feel free to be sensitive. Both men and women should feel free to be strong. It is time we all see gender as a spectrum, instead of two set of opposing ideals. If we stop defining each other by what we are not, are start defining ourselves by who we are, we can all be freer. (Emma Watson)

Achieving gender equality requires engagement of men and women, boys and girls. It is everyones responsibility.

Gender equality is not a woman issue. It is a human issue. It affects us all.

According to Koffi Annan, Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance.

It is a human fight, not a woman fight.

Bill Hicks once said; watching television is like taking black spray paint into your third eye.

A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until She gets in hot water.

"Freedom cannot be achieved unless women have been emancipated from all forms of oppression"
(Nelson Mandela)

Women are not going to be equal outside the home until men are equal in it.
(Gloria Steinem)

Who is a man, and who is a woman? Are we not one?

Most women need make up to cover up because, society taught them who they are, isn't enough.

Gender equality is the unfinished business of the 21st century.

"We need to make equal pay and equal opportunities for women and girls a reality so that women rights are human rights once and for all"
(Hillary Clinton)

Gender equality is critical to the development and peace of every nation.

Kofi Annan

...gender relationships, which are tough for people to deal with, are key to whether a society orients to domination or partnership in all its relations.

Raine Eisler

No country can truly develop if half its population is left behind.

We want to end gender equality and to do that, everyone need to be involved.
