Justin Bogle out Malcolm Stewart in

Sometimes you just can't buy luck, you can be in the best shape of your life and putting in above and beyond what is necessary but life chooses to beat you down. I really feel for Justin Bogle at this point, he has just returned to racing at round four of the Monster Energy Supercross season and was back looking good and getting his bike into the Mains. Things were looking up after months on the sidelines with a serious concussion.

The bang... It all changes...

The Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki and former 250 SX champion was landed on by another rider in San Diego and now faces another long absence.

"Bogle was making progress throughout the day in San Diego. Unfortunately, he was landed on by another rider and sustained a break to his right humerus. He was transported to a local hospital for observation. On Monday, Justin underwent what his surgeons, Dr. Tal David and Dr. Christopher Sherman are calling a successful surgery, which included fixing the injury with two plates and screws. We will have a better idea once Justin heals up from surgery and resumes daily activities."

This is a huge blow for Bogle and mentally this must have hit him even harder than the Physical damage. To fight your way back into contention and then to lose it all again like this is savage.

As always though, there is an upside for someone in this situation. It has been announced that #27 Malcolm Stewart will continue to race under the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki tent. Stewart, who joined the team at round two after missing Anaheim due to 'issues' is currently sitting fifteenth in the 450 SX Championship. He has shown glimmers of what he is capable, especially in the heat races but his form in the Main Events needs work.

With Bogle out there also might be a chance that current 250 SX Champion Justin Hill will jump aboard a 450 when the 250 SX East season kicks off.

I wish Bogle all the luck in the world with his recovery and i wish him a speedy return.

life can be really unfair , the mental aspect could be the hardest to return from , but he is a fighter and soon he will riding again, we wish him well, as they say once a champ always a champ,

Well said @travelerjoe :) These guys really do have a different mindset to most people. They are born to compete and push past the bad times!
