Marquez excels 1 point, 2019 MotoGP standings after the Spanish GP

The 2019 MotoGP standings changed after Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez defeated Suzuki rider Alex Rins at the Spanish MotoGP race at the Angel Nieto Jerez Circuit on Sunday (5/5).

Marquez won a convincing victory in the Spanish MotoGP. The rider nicknamed The Baby Alien was winning 1.654 seconds over Rins. Yamaha Maverick Vinales rider won the third podium with 2.443 seconds adrift.

The success of winning in the Spanish MotoGP made Marquez rise from fourth to the top of the 2019 MotoGP standings. With a score of 70 points Marquez was only one point ahead of Rins who rose to second place.

Pebalap Ducati Andrea Dovizioso who finished fourth lost the top of the standings and is in third place with 67 points. The fourth position is occupied by Valentino Rossi who dropped two positions after finishing sixth in the Spanish MotoGP 2019. Rossi is in fourth position with 61 points.

The fifth position was occupied by Danilo Petrucci with 41 points, followed by Vinales with 30 points, Jack Miller with 29 points, and Takaaki Nakagami also with 29 points.

Until four series passed there were still two riders who still failed to win points in MotoGP 2019, namely Karel Abraham (Avintia Racing) and Hafizh Syahrin (Tech3).
