Are classic cars coming back? Auto talk blog #1

in #motor8 years ago

While it may be every car enthusiasts dream, there are rumors of a few classic cars being re-released in the next few years by both car manufacturers and privare companies. The most anticipated of these "new classics" being the Chevelle, the Barracuda, and the Mustang Fastback with only the Fastback being roumored to be released by a private company.

We'll start with the first on the list, the Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Rumored to be released early to mid 2018, the Chevelle SS is rumored to be priced at $45,000. While the Chevelle SS has already had a limited release by Chevrolet in late 2016 with the classic car body, the new Chevelle is rumored to be completely rebuilt from the ground up. With two rumored engines, a turbo charged 2.0 liter inline-4 producing 294 base horse power or a 3.3 liter V6 producing 390 base horse power, the new Chevelle will be more tame than the 5.0 liter V8 model released late last year.

Next on the list, the Barracuda, is roumored to be released under the Dodge badge and is roumored to be replacing the Dodge Challenger SRT as the Dodge Barracuda SRT. If the rumors hold true, Dodge will be giving the much loved Barracuda its famous bite. Rumored to have a new body made from lite weight carbon fiber and aluminium alloys and a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 Hemi and rumored to be released in the second half of 2018, it will be hard to keep this beast on the road.

Last and least known on the list is the Fastback. Rumors are making their rounds that this car will have the body of a '69 Fastback made from aluminum alloys and will be released by a pruvate Canadian company sometime in 2020, other than that there are no othor romors about this new classic.
