Motorcycle From A Bikers Eye Part-III

in #motorcycle7 years ago

Hello Everynone,

Even you crash your bike, broke your bones that doesn't stop you because this is not just a vehicle that takes you point A to point B.

I was learning how to ride and get familier with the controls, using brakes, gear, clutch ect. It gave me so much joy along the way. I knew I needed time an practice to learn an be able to do without hinking all thoose things. Struggle with your bike is priceless.

I was so exited about riding, expecially long roads. I was holding myself back not to do that too soon.

But not always things go as you wanted. One day I took my bike for a short ride. I was upset over the girl I was talking. My mind was full of thoughts and not focusing on the road. I find myself in the main road. Road was empty unlike normal days, it was the most empty time you can find, nomallly it is always traffic at there. I thought empty road will be fine to ride.

As I was riding I went up to 55MPH that I never done it before but it felt good and didn't made me think it could be a problem with a filled mind. When I was thinking, wondering and planning all kinds of stuff, I didn't realise losing focus on the road. Last thing I remember before the crash is the speedometer. I was looking at the speedometer but wasn't seeing it, just looking because my mind wasn't there.

Then I found myself on the side barrier and sliding. I was still on my bike but it was hitting back and forth towards the barrier. I pushed the handle towards the road so I can relise myself from hitting the road signs pole ahead. I suddenly found myself on the ground, sliding under my bike. Then sliding stopped. But I was stuck under my bike and couldn't move. I wave at the people, only thing I can do. They rushed to remove the on me. I wasn't sure what happened.

Then they gave me water picked up my motorcycle, collect the broken pieces that I later realised. I wasn't feeling hurt and the bike was okey to ride. I didn't wanna go with the ambulance. This policeman helped me to get up and said that my bike was fine and I look fike. So I get on my bike and ride it to find a mechanic to fix my footbrake, it was broken. I only had a front brake. I was probably in shock, couldn't find the direction. I wondered around some time and decided to go home.

I rode back 40 miles to my house. Changed my clothes and it was the first time actually realising the crash was serious. So I went to a hospital, turned out my right wrist has two broken bones yet I was able to ride the bike with throttle and the brake on the right side. I didn't feel any problem because of the shock effect.

My right arm had to stay in a cast for four weeks. After that I needed more then a month to gain ability to move my hand properly.

Still it was a good day for me because even I had a big crash, neither myself had a major injury or my bike had any big problems. I took that as a lesson for the future. An experience with minor loss is the best lesson you can get.
