Weekend Rider - Ride to Blue Mountains Botanic Garden
Late afternoon yesterday once I got back home after taking my girls out for lunch the weather was absolutely perfect for riding.
I decided to head up on Bells Line of Road which is close to my home and see how far I could get heading towards Lithgow.
There wasn’t much traffic on the way over but I noticed that there was plenty of it coming back so I knew that on the way back I would be facing some traffic.
As I got to Mt Tomah the time was already 4pm and I knew I had to make a stop and turn as I had 60mins of riding to do on the way back. And as we are in Autumn the days are quickly getting shorter.
I stopped at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden at Mt Tomah to enjoy the beautiful view this location offers and then after a short rest stop of 15mins made my journey back home.
It was a extremely clear day and you could see all the way into the distance. I’ve been here many times before but never had such a great view. As such I had to capture it with a few quick snaps.
I do find that I still occasionally have trouble being in the right gear as I head down hill. This is something I need to work on. Not sure if there are other riders here who can share some tips. If you have some pls leave me your tip in the comments below.
