Water Supplies For Mount Agung Refugees Only Last For One Day

The Logistics Command Post Mount Agung Coordinator, Puspa Kumari, stated stock of mineral water to the refugees victims of eruption Gunung Agung, Bali, diminish. Mount Agung which is located in the Regency of Karangasem Bali still serves as a level IV (Caution).
"We're still lacking of mineral water, might only last for a single day," said Puspa when asked by one of the local journalists, Monday (4/12) afternoon local time.
Command Post is the main post that transmits logistics for the refugees of Mount Agung in several camps. The post is located in the Tanah Ampo, Karangasem, #Bali.
The data obtained from Humas Satgas Tanggap Darurat Bencana Erupsi (Public Relations Emergency Eruption Disaster Response) Mount Agung, the number of refugees on Monday (4/12) at 18.00 WITA totaled 62.330 soul.
They spread in 214 point camps in nine locations i.e. Buleleng, Klungkung, Karangasem, Bangli, Tabanan, Denpasar, Gianyar, Badung, and Jembrana.
Out of those nine locations, most situated in Karangasem with total 18.373 soul.
Apart from the depleting stock of drinking water, Puspa states logistic needs in command posts in general still enough and available for ten days. Especially on food.
Meanwhile, Bali governor I Made Mangku Pastika requests the refugees to be patient in dealing with the situation.
Mangku Pastika mentioned he understands the concerns of the refugees. Especially about the delirium related to the work that must be left as well as those who have lost their jobs because of the eruption of Mount Agung.
"Yes, surely concerned, it requires patience. Look for activities. There are many jobs in the city, for example the needs of handymen. There are still many opportunities," said Mangku Pastika in written information received by one of the local journalists.
For that, Mangku Pastika asked the refugees to be creative in doing activities during their stay in camps.
On the other hand, Mangku Pastika mentions the refugees this time is far more fortunate if compared with the people affected by the eruption of Mount Agung back in 1963.
"The Government at that time did not give full attention to the people affected," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the logistics needs of the refugees, Mangku Pastika admitted that there are still problems in the distribution of aid from command post in the Tanah Ampo to the posts.
The distribution problems will be addressed by sending aid from command posts directly to the office of the sub-district. Later, said Mangku Pastika, refugees will be able to take their needs in the sub-district office themselves.
