"Staying or passing through?"

Happy Hunting was written, directed, produced, edited, and shot by Joe Dietsch and Louie Gibson. In this jaw-dropping horror film, we're following Warren (Martin Dingle Wall), an extreme alcoholic and drug addict, barely functioning without being intoxicated. In the beginning, he receives a call notifying him about his ex's death and the child he never new about. He decides to pack his things and take a trip to meet the kid. But, not before selling some crank to a house of dealers for some money. The deal goes south, as he somewhat expected, and he has to get out of there fast. Still traveling to Mexico, he stops at a motel in a very small town called Bedford Flats, population just over 100. Little does Warren know, he's entered dangerous territory, where an annual hunting festival is about to take place. I need not say more and spoil it for you.

Dietsch and Gibson did a good job on this film. They create Bedford Flats filled with all the right details of crazy, always leaving you in suspense and curious of what's really going on. Along with capturing the emptiness in the deserts of Bedford, making it seem almost hopeless for Warren's survival. The story is rolled out in a perfect manner, with the right information at the right time. But, what I did find lagging was so much action, suspense and terror that it led me to forget about Warren's one true mission: to get to Mexico to see his kid. Throughout the entire movie I was hooked, but when he pulled out his phone towards the end to make one last call, I was like 'oh yea'. But, the movie is still a must-see, overall.

The film stars Martin Dingle Wall who plays an excellent grungy looking alcoholic in Happy Hunting and keeps the right mood going throughout. The film also stars Ken Lally, Kenny Wormald, Connor Williams, and many more, who all did a great job as well.

If you have an itch for some Horror/ brutal action, I suggest passing through the small town of Bedford Flats in Happy Hunting. But remember, run for your life...
