Movie Review: The Matrix

The Matrix is one of the best science fiction movies of all time. I have watched that movie for first time almost 13/14 years ago. It was difficult to understand the movie that time as i was almost a kid, though i liked the action part. Recently i have watched it again. So i thought why not sharing my feeling about that movie on our amazing community. This is a movie about war between machine and human , where human being are enslaved by machine and used only for power supply.

Thomas Anderson aka Neo lives a double life in one of them he works for a renowned software company and in other life he is an hacker under the name of "Neo". From his observation he thinks something is wrong with the world where he lives. He is determined to find out the truth . Trinity, an infamous hacker contacts him and says that only Morpheus can explain him everything he needs to know. However when she contacted Neo , agents lead by Agent Smith bugged their conversation. Agent Smith marks Morpheus as the most dangerous man alive and he is determined to eliminate Morpheus by any cost. So Agent Smith arrests Neo from his working place and gives him a deal if Neo helps them capturing Morpheus , he will walk free. Though Neo refuses that, Agent Smith bugs him anyway hoping that Morpheus will contact Neo.

Trinity contacts Neo and get rid of bugging. Then she makes arrangement to meet Morpheus. Morpheus explains Neo that only if Neo wants he can show him the door to free his mind , but it s Neo who have to walk through the door. Morpheus gives him a choice of two pills one of which will take him back to his own normal life and the second one will show him the truth of matrix. Neo takes the second pill. Then he understand matrix is nothing , but an illusion. Matrix is completely simulation of a complex program where nothing is real. Human beings are enslaved by machine. He cant accept the truth. He feels like he is out of his fucking mind. Though Morpheus explains everyone feels the same after knowing thee truth.

Morpheus then tell him in the beginning of 21st century when modern science was advancing rapidly, AI(Artificial Intelligent ) makes a revolution and defeat the human kind. Before defeating human kind, human destroyed the power supply for machine. Then found a way to use the body heat of human as their power supply. So they made matrix to enslave human being and use their body heat for electricity .

Zion, the last human city are currently in war against machine. The fate of humanity depends on zion. Morpheus believes Neo is the One who can end the war and make peace between machine and human. People from zion found a way to enter in Matrix by using cable. As matrix is a simulation, they can upload program on their simulated-self which make them something like super human. They can bend the law of physics. They can learn any kind of fighting skill and know how to dodge the bullet. Only the security program of matrix known as Agents are more powerful than them.

Group lead by Morpheus visit the Oracle , a prophet of matrix who can see or feel the future. After observing Neo, she tells him Neo is not the One. Soon Neo will have to choose between his life and Morpheus's life. Before they leave the matrix, agents lead by famous Agent Smith ambush the group. To protect the group and Neo, Morpheus allowed himself to be captured. It was reveal that Cypher a crew member betrayed Morpheus to Agent Smith in exchange for a comfortable life inside matrix. After knowing his betrayal ,Cipher was killed by Tank another crew member.

In matrix agents interrogate Morpheus, to learn his access way to matrix and zion. Tank propose killing Morpheus before he can reveal this to agents. But Neo has different plan. He is planning to rescue Morpheus from agents which seems impossible to others. Anyway Tritany joins him in rescue attempt. They rescue Morpheus and by doing so Neo gets confidence in his ability. he was almost equally skilled like agents. Tritany and Morpheus easily exit the matrix, but Smith blocks Neo's escape. Neo has no choice , but fight Smith. They were fighting almost equally , though Neo beats Smith. Neo flees the other agents and locate an exit from where Trinity escape earlier, but only to find Smith waiting for him. Smith shoots Neo and leaves him to dead. In real world , Trinity whisper to Neo that the Oracle told her she would fall in love with the One and She falls in love with Neo. As he is the one, Neo cant die. She kissed Neo and Neo come back to life. He then killed Agent Smith, while other two agents run away.

This was the first part of trilogy movies. I hope i will write review about others two part of the movies. Agent Smith is considered one of the top 10 most powerful villains of all time in Hollywood. Graphics, fighting scene, story almost everything was perfect.
