The film is a remake of films with the same title in 1980.
The film is about Rini and her sisters who got terror from a female ghostly figure resembling their mother, who has passed away.

Joko said that Rapi Films film is designed to improve the quality of horror films in the Indonesian film industry.

Danur: I Can See Ghosts
The film was once the best-selling horror film with a total of 2,736,157 spectators before being overthrown by Devil's Servant.
The story of this film is the true story of the author of Danur, Risa Saraswati (starring Prilly Latuconsina), who is friendly with five Dutch childhood ghosts.
Risa admitted did not think the film worked by MD Pictures this can achieve success.
