The Occult behind the movie "Coraline and the secret door" - Review

This film has several references to the world of occultism, feericos beings and magic, all this revolves around the witch of coraline known as La Beldam or "the other mother". In the stories about these beings it is known that not all They can see their world and they, unless they allow it, this happens when Coraline discovers the door and she can pass but when she tries to show it to her mother it seems that the door through which she passes is blocked because this is what she wants the other mother, because she controls this illusion with her magic and only decides to show this world to Coraline.

The next thing is that these beings can not create things from nothing so they only disguise things physically with magic, but they can not create from nothing, an example is a story of a feeric being that married a human, these when they went to have their first child they hired a midwife, when he arrived he found a beautiful place, a luxurious and bright room, all the work was done and the child was born, on the side of the woman's bed was a plate with a liquid which the father, the magical being, puts in the eyes of the child, the midwife is surprised, the father grabbing this splashes a bit in the left eye of the midwife without realizing, this liquid what he did was grant him the third vision, to see her world and what it really was, the room and all the luxury she saw was false, because everyone was in a cave and the room was just an illusion thrown by this magical being, this is how the Midwife realized this being and its powers, it fits men To be sure that the being finally realized that the lady could see her world but these beings are demanding and severe, because only they can give permission and if not the person will receive a punishment, because they can grant the third vision with this liquid but on the other hand there is no magic that can remove the third vision, the only way is to tear out the eye with the one who sees it.

This is clear in coraline when the witch uses ugly rats to disguise them as cute acrobats, as their own trainer was a shell that was controlled by rats, the actress sisters were candies, the other pope was a pumpkin, everyone who built for Coraline was based on a spider web, objects and other things were insects, the other waybe was a doll and all this kind of things that were only an illusion.

Already at the end of the film Coraline needs to find the eyes of the children to release them and this makes it to see through a candy with a hole in the middle that gave him one of the sisters actresses of the real world, this makes reference to the stories that they say that if you find a stone with a hole in the middle molded by nature, if you see it through it, you will be able to see everything hidden in the Feeric world.

The last thing is about the beldam or the other mother, she is an evil being because it is clear from what she does in the movie, not all witches are bad, there are also good ones, it is said that the magical beings that eat meat are bad, because they are usually related to the changes of seasons, nature and its protection, because where it is said that they are seen in forests, rivers, the sea, all nature is as if it were their home so they take care of living beings, so it is said that what they eat meat and kill living beings are bad. The beldam took the children's lives and ate them. It is also shown that she eats insects. Another characteristic is that these beings are very naughty, they like jokes, games, riddles and other things. When Coraline challenges the beldam to play a game of finding lost objects, she does not refuse because she loves to play as the cat says "she loves games".
