Film Review: Kate & Leopold (2001)

In a world of time and space,
Where love transcends all place,
Kate and Leopold, a tale so bold,
Of a duke and a modern woman, their story told.

From 1876 to 2001 they roam,
Through portals and bridges, finding home,
Leopold's charm and old-fashioned ways,
Capture Kate's heart in modern days.

But alas, the film falls short,
With plot holes and sentimentality's court,
Meg Ryan's portrayal lacking spark,
While Hugh Jackman shines in the dark.

A missed opportunity, some would say,
For a romantic comedy gone astray,
Yet still, there's charm and heart to find,
In the essence of love, intertwined.
