Tom Hanks, a man alone
On an island, far from home
Struggling to survive each day
With only a volleyball to play

Director Zemeckis, a master of his craft
Capturing the isolation, the aftermath
Of a plane crash, a life derailed
As Chris Noland's fate is unveiled

A film with heart, with soul
Showing the struggle to stay whole
In a world that's cruel and unforgiving
Yet in the end, a chance for living

Cast Away, a risk that paid off
A tale of survival, not to be scoffed
With moments of despair and hope
A film that helps us to cope

So raise a toast to Hollywood's gamble
To a film that left us in a scramble
For tissues, for laughter, for tears
Cast Away will live on for years.
