The fascist threat looms, a dark, ominous cloud,
As Gustave and Zero, in a desperate, daring crowd,
With Agatha's help, they navigate, the treacherous tide,
In a world of wonder, where innocence will not reside.

Anderson's vision, a kaleidoscope of delight,
A cinematic feast, of vibrant hues, and deadpan light,
Desplat's score, a haunting, nostalgic refrain,
Evoking the ghosts, of a bygone era's pain.

The ensemble cast, a talented, eclectic band,
Ralph Fiennes shines, as Gustave, a tragic, comedic hand,

Yet, amidst the beauty, a flaw, a weakness lies,

A discipline, that Kubrick, or Scorsese, might have brought anew.
