Poetic Film Review: The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)

In city streets, where sun always shines,
A lawyer operates, with morally blurred lines.
Mickey Haller, with a name so fine,
Conducts his business, from a Lincoln's confine.

With clients shady, and a reputation grand,
He keeps them out of prison, with a skilled hand.
But enemies abound, among law's noble crew,
For Haller's successes, are their failures anew.

A case comes along, that tests his mettle true,
A young man accused, of a crime he denies to do.
With investigators keen, and a prosecutor so fine,
Haller digs deep, to unravel the crime's dark design.

The city's dark underbelly, with corruption so rife,
Haller navigates, with a heart that's not without life.
The streets of LA, where crime and grime entwine,
Are the backdrop for, this lawyer's Sisyphean climb.

With a soundtrack that echoes, the past's dark refrain,
The film's atmosphere, is one of noir-like strain.
Matthew McConaughey, shines with a performance so bright,
As Haller transforms, from antihero to a beacon of light.

The cast delivers, with roles that are small but so grand,
A testament to, the power of a well-crafted band.
Though not a classic, this film stands tall and proud,
A rare example, of a movie that's worthy and allowed.

In the city of angels, where crime never sleeps,
Mickey Haller's story, is one that the ages keep.
A saga continued, with a new face so bold,
The Lincoln Lawyer's tale, is one that will never grow old.
