There are many activities where we can learn a lot and watch movies is one of them! Even more for those who will receive at home that aunt who comes from the North and who cooks well, a good movie is great!

Here are some tips! Movies with many meanings, good energy and good integrity. We can learn a lot from the movies, drawing their examples from examples and varying Virtues.s.

(Organized by year of release)

BRAVEHEART (1995)

Based on actual events, William Wallace (Mel Gibson) is a Scottish warrior, patriot and considered a hero of the Medieval period. The action takes place in the late 13th century, when the Scottish rebels fought against the dominion of the English king Edward I. In the film we can see how much the protagonist sought the truth and the value in his mission, besides giving himself with bravery and determination in the defense of his people.

There are many meanings here, and what else is put to the test is the Will. This gives him a power of vision and determination with what he intends to accomplish. It is more than a simple want or a passing desire. It also represents the "inner battle", where we have to deal with our adversities and overcome fears, lack of courage, bad habits and other obstacles that prevent us from achieving goals, especially the great ones ...

CAST AWAY (1995)

Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks), a Federal Express inspector (FedEx), a multinational freight forwarder, whose job it is to check various company offices around the planet. However, in one of his usual trips an accident occurs, that leaves him trapped in a completely deserted island by 4 years. With his fiancée (Helen Hunt) and his friends imagining that he had died in the crash, Chuck must fight to survive, both physically and emotionally, so that one day he can return to civilization.

The island has a very strong symbolism: it is the exit from the comfort zone. For those who lived in the city with everything very practical and routines that almost did not require something that he was not as habit and easy to do, being there was something from another world. He had to survive and relive the strength and determination he did not "remember" that he had. There he had to live extremes and the company of Wilson (ball - representing his personality), who is taken by the Sea of Life, giving him the awakening that there is naturally within him. But the end is very interesting, amazing! : D

PLEASANTVILLE (1998)

In the 1990s, David (Tobey Maguire) is a lonely young man who is not happy with his life and runs away from reality by watching "Pleasantville," a 1950s black and white series where everything is enjoyable. But everything changes abruptly when Jennifer (Reese Whisterpoon), her sister, who sexually much more active than David, fights with him for the possession of a strange remote control, that appeared through an equally strange television technician (Don Knotts), that arrived suddenly shortly after they had broken the old control. During the fight they tighten the new control and are magically transported into the fictional "Pleasantville" and there become Bud and Mary-Sue Parker, two characters in the series. They suddenly find themselves in a black and white world where parents are adorable in a place where everyone is happy, there is no sex and no one ever needs to go to the bathroom. One event drives the other and suddenly a red rose grows and soon more rules are broken and new colors come up and, if everything is not so nice, it sure has more excitement. But initially not everyone likes these changes.

Another great movie, with such a great review! The black and white world symbolizes a world filled with social conditions and dictates that overshadow people's lives, leaving people with an unreal vision of this life. Social beliefs that lead nowhere and the extent to which they experience new occasions of Life begin to see details with color, beginning with a red rose. The world begins to become colorful as they seek greater freedom and understanding of sex in society and reinforced with the resurgence of Art, bringing to those people of Pleasantville a more real and free coexistence. But the symbolism of the film is greater when we associate with our own Life. The visual effects of the film are dramatic and interesting.

THE WALK (2015)

The real story of the tightrope walker Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), famous for crossing the Twin Towers using only a cable. Even without legal authorization for the risky adventure, he gathered a group of international assistants and enlisted the help of a mentor to craft the plan, which had suffered many obstacles and could finally be executed. The crossing took place illegally on August 7, 1974 and gained prominence worldwide.

Also based on real facts, walking on the rope and balancing can represent one of the maxims of Buddhism, which is the Right Action or Dharma Path. It is the search for the best that we have in our internal (Consciousness) and we can only find it in an elevated state of Self, so the rope is high in the Twin Towers. And to get up there requires breaking standards, fear and dribbling many obstacles to be up there (just see in the movie how much is required of him to climb there). Balancing only with a staff (Wisdom), he crosses the rope and finds his point of Balance and mental softness. Watching you will see much more! : D
