Blade Runner 2049 - Everything I learned from the Trailers Part 2 (Theory)
I believe this is Mars. Not too hard to fathom when you have the ability to finally explore the off world colonies. Another reason for thinking this is because they talked extensively in the book on how you could technically be with a android in New America on Mars.
Many people did this. And I believe Deckard and Rachael did as well.
Deckard will try to run from K several times in this movie.
He'll divulge information piece by piece but never tell K the whole story.
And just when he thinks Deckard will come quietly...Deckard will vanish.
Several times in the movie he'll need to report back, defeated.
Clues will emerge during his off time. And he'll meet Deckard again. This time at the Joi Building
Deckard will evade his capture once more
But will drop his gun, giving K a possible clue.
During this time, Wallace will become impatient and send Luv to capture Deckard.
I have a theory that there will be at least 2 Luv Replicants.
Both will be a slave to Wallace against their will but one stands a chance to rebel. Both are tasked to eliminate K and retrieve Deckard. The white coat Luv will be preforming her own investigations.
If this is not the case, which I think would be a wasted chance to see two different sides of a Replicant, she will just be a persistent character who K will inevitably dispose of.
Their fight will come to a head on the outer side of the sea wall. Deckard will be in Luv's possession.
K will bar the hover car from leaving and ensue a fire fight.
She'll return fire and most likely be wounded but not down and out.
At this point Deckard might be able to pick up her gun. She'll turn to fighting with a knife when she meets her end.
She will die and Deckard will be saved from her capture.
