Jurassic World 3 will be a Happy Reunion
Of course the best part of the Jurassic movies are the dinosaurs, but some familiar faces never hurt. It was obvious from the start that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return to the sequel as they based themselves as the core human actors of this new trilogy.
However, even though the most important part of the movies are not the human parts, it appears that Universal Pictures wants to play the nostalgia game by bringing back all of the former actors of the franchise. The new and the old trilogy. It has been confirmed that these actors will be returning: Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler who we mostly remember from the first Jurassic Park movie. Sam Neill will return as Dr. Alan Grant whom he played in all of the first trilogy movies. Jeff Goldblum who plays himself as Ian Malcolm in the first Jurassic trilogy and he also had a small cameo in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will return. BD Wong will also be reprising his role of Dr. Henry Wu whom he played in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World.
Some of the more recent actors will also be returning: Jake Johnson is returning as Lowery who worked on the technical part of the part in Jurassic World. Omar Sy will return as Barry, the person who helped Chris Pratt's Owen train Velociraptors. Daniella Pineda will be back as Zia Rodriguez, she was part of the Dinosaur Protection Group in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Her co-worker Franklin Webb will also return, he is played by Justice Smith. Isabella Sermon will return as Maisie Lockwood, the little girl in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. As we know, these movies always need kids in them.
Speaking of kids I want the two kids from the original Jurassic Park to return. So far, it doesn't seem that they will, but I am really hoping for at least a cameo. Joseph Mazzello who played Tim is still an actor who is not so busy, he is most remembered for playing John Deacon Bohemian Rhapsody. Ariana Richards who played Lex has retired from acting, but you can always get someone to come back. I would love to see them come back.
Chris Pratt compared Jurassic World 3 in a recent interview to Avengers: Endgame by saying that it has everyone in this movie. Do those everyone include Lex and Tim? I hope it also means that the stakes are high and the plot is interesting, but so far it looks really promising.
Director Colin Trevorrow who directed the previous two movies is back to direct this installment as well. Yeah, the same Trevorrow who got kicked out of Star Wars and now everyone are loving his leaked script. I think he might get his sweet revenge here when this movie does better critically and at the box office then Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
