So interesting.
I've seen the films, but never the context pertaining to the ebb and flow of Hall's career.
When I saw Annie Baker's acclaimed play, "The Flick," in London, all I could think about was Hughes, Hall and "The Breakfast Club."
Baker is like John Hughes in slow motion, lingering poetically in moments where Hughes would have pushed the story forward.
I never realised Hall was explicitly Hughes' avatar. I think even more of him now. :)
