REVIEW RESENSI FILM BLACK SWAN
Synopsis Black Swan:
In the movie Darren Aronofsky tells the story of a young ballerina named Nina Sayers who want to get the role of swan queen in staging swan lake.
"I had the craziest dream last night about a girl who has turned into a swan, but her prince falls for the wrong girl and she kills herself"
For a Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) to be a professional ballerina is her dream, her ideals, and also her biggest obsession. Raised by a mother who is a former ballerina who is not less obsessive indirectly form the personality of Nina. He grows into a perfectionist but also closed at the same time, he is an anti-social and less open himself. Indeed as a ballerina Nina is able to dance and bring all the elaborate ballet movements beautifully and perfectly, but unfortunately there is no soul in every movement that begins, Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel), a staging director who designated him as the Swan Queen, the main character from Swan Lake staging replaces the prima ballerina, Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) who 'forced' to retire.
Bringing the role of Swan Queen is definitely not an easy matter. The complicated role demands Nina not only to release all her dance skills well, but also to show her two different emotional sides. As White Swan is full of charm and innocence, yes, he is capable, but not as a Black Swan, an opposite character, a dark and seductive character that is difficult to get out by introverted Nina, let alone the arrival of a new ballerina, Lili (Milla Kunis ) capable of bringing the Black Swan character well to make the competition hot and quickly also the beginning of a terrible rivalry.
Initially, Nina thinks Lili can be her friend, but it turns out that way Lili tried to bring down Nina. Lily had almost succeeded in taking on Nina's role by showing better Black Swan characters so that the performance director, Thomas, asked Lili to be a reserve player for the Swan Queen.
While the competition was slowly going on, there was a psychic change in Nina as well. Nina suddenly finds her dark side and resembles the Black Swan. Even Nina often experience the illusion of herself being Black Swan.
But eventually, Nina is able to defend her position as the Swan Queen but at stake herself. Even during the show, he really became the Swan Queen.
Review:
Aronofsky pack Black Swan with a very poetic, beautiful, but it feels sore. The screen is filled with ballerina leg images that are forced to bend continuously and support a rotating body, and some close up shots that expose the sad and suffering face of Nina (Natalie Portman). From the opening up to the cover of the film, the audience is presented several times by a screen that seems to be transformed into a ballet stage.
Like the Black Swan performances themselves, the movie is like a stage of the same title that tells the story of a Nina's self-seeking where gradually but surely transformed from the character 'White Swan' to 'Black Swan' which is shown in a series of horrific moments that indirectly demanding his audience to think hard to conclude what really happened to Nina's character. You could say almost a third of this film presents a character study built by Natalie Portman.
After the first 1 hour Aronofsky tried to illustrate Nina's carousel with all its conflicts with a slightly slow groove, in the last 30 minutes arguably the culmination of everything. Dressed in dynamic camera techniques, exquisite cinematography, fascinating choreography, a cover-off from this "Black Swan" ballet terror act is closed with a peak climax that can make the goosebumps look at.A dramatic closure and an imprint because Nina finally is dying because the wound he made himself.
Advantages :
In this film, there are many advantages recorded in it. Starting from the acting Natalie Portman who really master the characters from Nina, Odette (White Swan), and Odile (Black Swan). A deeper story line, who is Nina Sayers and her background until she becomes an ambitious ballerina. Ballerina is perfectionist but anti-social, and while dancing to her is like showing a soulless dance.
In addition, in terms of camera, lighting, and of course the music. In this film, it is really like describing a stage ballet show. But, it is not just the game of ballet on the stage, but also the daily Nina and the moment when Nina compete with Lili who emerged as his rival. So make Thomas interested in making Lili as Nina reserve. And how Nina tried to maintain her position in her frustrated state. And it can be said, this movie is really memaukau.
In addition in terms of script writing, penggarapannya also deep sanget. So as to produce dialogues that further clarify the caretaker Nina sayers. No wonder if the film was finally included as a nomination of the Golden Awards and Oscars. Because in a short time already mempu attract the attention of the audience.
Weaknesses:
The story of Swan Lake is already quite famous. This story is a classic tale from the 19th century. A Princess, named Odette, is cursed and trapped within the body of a white goose during the rising sun and can only return to human form when the sun goes down. It is said that he will only return to become a whole person if a prince can love him with all his heart. But the prince, who also returns his love, is fooled by Odile - a princess whose stature resembles Odette - who flaps black wings. In ignorance, the prince pronounces his love for the black swan, and shuns Odette's chance to escape the curse. Out of love, Odette chose to end her life, because that was the only other way she could do to destroy the witch's curse. The prince later realized his mistake was chasing the princess. But he was late, and finally chose to follow Odette.
Viewers who have not or lacked the classic Swan Lake story will have trouble understanding and understanding this movie. Especially because this movie psychological thriller genre, where the audience should be able to explore the contents of the story.
Conclusion:
This movie is worth watching for movie fans who love dramatic, romantic, but psychologically horror movies. Unfortunately, this movie is not a movie in theaters. Tatpi can be seen on some sites on the internet.
