They once stopped me and another driver after a 10-20m tunnel for having no lights on. While the officer talked to us many cars with lights turned off passed. When mentioning that he grinned at me and said: "Yes, but they are Itallian." - Cheeky mf.
Btw the Austrian police have their funny ways too, obviously using "radar eyes". Once got caught at the Brenner by an officer charging me for having been too fast a few villages before. When I asked for a proof he told me he was "informed by a colleague who saw" me. Wtf?
In both cases the penalty was so cheap that I strongly believe they were just making some extra pocket money.
