Amanita Muscaria

Amanita Muscaria is a mushroom with a cool name. If you’ve ever played super Mario you will know it as the red and white mushroom that helps Mario evolve into a bigger one. It only grows underneath the pine trees. That’s why some people think it is the idea behind placing gifts underneath the Christmas tree.

It is a magic mushroom. That means if you eat enough of it you will get high. But it’s also somewhat poisonous. It won’t kill you but might give you stomach ache. I’ve heard that if you take it in small doses everyday it has some positive effects.

How I felt using it

I took about .6 grams of it today in two settings. One morning one in the afternoon. This is my first time taking this mushroom but I feel small changes. My hands and feet are slightly numb. I feel a little closer to nature and staying in the present moment and being mindful is very easy. In fact ruminating about the past or future feels harder to do. My sense of smell is significantly stronger especially when it comes to the smell of mushrooms. I’m more aware of live beings around me. I don’t step on the newly grown grass. Only on the older ones. I’m going to continue taking small doses everyday and see how it affects me.
