Learning to Play - Full Album

in #music5 years ago

Hello to anyone who may happen to see this. :) I hope your day is going good!
I have a new thing on my YouTube channel to share.
It's a short lil musical album I made on the Drum Pad Machine app by Easybrain.
I will put a link to the music below in the comments.
However, first I want to explain a few things so please read before you listen if you do even listen at all.

I've never really made any music before outside of some spoken word poetry recently that I put to other people's music. So... I'm not sure if that even really counts. And... I've wanted to make music of some sort for a long time now.
Then... One day this previous Autumn I just got an idea and was curious to try to find an app I could make music with on my phone and... I am so glad I did!
I have had such a positive experience and have learned a lot and even if I never become a professional music maker or anything like that it's just extremely rewarding for me personally to make some music at any level.

With all that in mind... My first attempts are not high in quality, lol. I'm not trying to claim I'm good at all with this upload. I'm a newbie at this.
I'm sharing these first songs I made just to kind of... Show my own progression for myself to look back on in the future and also to hopefully help inspire others who might be on the fence about trying something new like this.

I mess up a lot of times in these songs, and I didn't even know about the other options the app has to do things like "looping" sounds when I made these songs.
So I was at first manually pressing the drums and all that which was quite difficult...

One thing that really annoys me is when I play the same sound too many times in a row, and I still struggle with that sometimes... Yet, I'm getting much better at noticing it before it happens!
After practicing a while more since finishing these first songs and learning more stuff like the loops, I'm just so much better now at making this kind of music!
I already have a nearly complete second album of much "better" sounding songs, so, please... Try to remember that this is total beginner stuff and I literally just started playing around with the app and figuring it out as I went.

It's actually a pretty easy to use and fun app in my opinion. I basically just did some of their in app tutorial and watched someone play on YouTube and then went at it.
I'm a musical dunce with zero experience pretty much and I was able to make some stuff that sounded not too bad from my perspective!

Some of it actually sounds pretty good I think. :)
And to be fair, I wouldn't share any of these songs if I didn't like them.
There may be mistakes parts that I don't like and I'm a newbie, but... I still overall in a broader sense like these newbie songs.

If this is something that interests you or might interest you then I would highly suggest downloading the app sometime and giving it a try!
Worst case scenario I think would be that you don't like it and lose like 15-20 minutes or so of time.
Better case scenario I think would be that you do like it and create some great music you and others enjoy and who knows, maybe you could even do something more with it someday in the future as well.

I sent an email and asked and based on what I was told from my understanding the music you create with this app is royalty free and you can even sell it as long as you give credit to Easybrain and their app, if you're interested in selling or using such kinds of music please don't just take my word for it and do your own due diligence and find out for yourself by asking via email or whatever.

Anyways.. I think that's it for now.
Thanks for reading and listening if you did! Peace and much love!
