Album Recommendation: Rude - Remnants...

in #music7 years ago

Its always a pleasant surprise when you hear, now in 2018, death metal band, with that specific sound of an old school death metal that came out in early 90s. Usually its slow, raw, and brutal in its own merits.
Listening to this album, I was reminded of the time that I started listening to death metal, with bands like Death, Possessed, Morbid Angel and others, and that's pretty awesome in my opinion. I would have had problems if that was the only thing that this band, or this album specifically, did. But no, this album elevates that old school death metal genre and brings out so much more from it. Production is perfect for this style of metal, they have discovered what their sound is, and the direction they chose to take with it.

Rude was formed in 2008 and played a very primitive form of metal in the style of Celtic Frost and Bathory. Today, they play death metal risen from the ashes of the golden days. They are four piece death metal band based out of Oakland, CA. Signed to F.D.A. Records. First full length LP 'Soul Recall' released in 2013. Second full length 'Remnants' was released in 2017.

This album is for everyone that listens to death metal, I mean, its brilliant, brutal, melodic, just death metal done right. I would even recommend this to anyone that wants to give death metal a try, cause its pretty fun and simple, and I can see this album being a great start, when death metal is in question. So check them out! \m/
