[Tutorial] Finger Drumming w/ Live 10 + Push - Part 1 - The Layout

in #music7 years ago (edited)

In this quick tutorial, we'll set up a 16 pad finger drumming template that will enable us to play super realistic and natural drum grooves which rival that of a "real" drummer.

We'll use Addictive Drums, but this will work with any drum kit vst/library that has natural articulations and a wide dynamic range. Other options include Realidrums, Superior Drummer, Drum Lab, Studio Drummer, etc.

Once you embody this method, you'll be able to lay down awesome drum grooves on the fly.

Prepare yourself for tons of fun 😎

Much Love & Bright Blessings!

Couldn't have asked for a better first comment! Glad you found it inspiring!

This approach to fingerdrumming has been an absolute gamechanger for me. So much fun!

Btw, I'm the voice and hands in the video ;)

Right On :) and you've got some awesome energy. I am so excited about this. I work mostly with Earth Alchemy & Energy Therapy through application of Reiki in various ways and I'm pumped thinking about letting my inner rhythm becoming expressed through finger drumming. I had never heard the term before your post. That and Audio Alchemy pulled me right in <3 I don't think I will be able to attend the retreat in May, but I am noting for myself future possibilities. You've lit me up my new friend, thank you soooooo much!!!! Reiki Hugs, Love and Much Respect.

Very useful, even without having a push anymore, worked out well mapping my tempest to control ableton. Thanks!

Yeah for sure - works well with any drum/pad-based controller :)

Thanks a lot Andy. Have one of these in my template ever since you and Steve mentioned it the first time in one of the webinars.

Awesome, glad to hear!
